THE WHO European Tour 1972 (Extremely rare 1972 UK 20" x 30" poster for their 'Lifehouse' tour, using a very similar design to their familiar 'Marquee' poster that was included with the 'Live At Leeds' album but in this case having an updated image of Pete beating the living bejeezis out of an SG, rather than a Rickenbacker. This wonderful archive poster has been kept stored quarter folded, but those folds are amongst the only signs of its forty years. There is no evidence of age yellowing, just a few light creases evident from handling in the past, but these would probably be invisible once mounted and you are certain to want to display this! THE WHO Pictures Of Lily (Extremely rare original 1967 UK 11" x 16" instore black & white display poster for the single release, featuring eight postcard sized representations of Victorian erotica [including one of a completely unadorned ladies bottom - oo-er!], the final segment being an advert for the single in suitably styled text. This was obviously folded once to fit an envelope, but apart from the obvious neat creases, this really has defied the mists of time. There is a thin strip on the back of the poster, presumably where it was once glued to a wall or door, but none of this has seeped through the paper at all. There is a little age yellowing to the edges to give it that authentic 'vintage' look but no rips, tears or pinholes at all. THE WHO Who Are You (Wonderful original proof artwork for the sleeve of the album, with a text free full colour 12" photograph of the album front picture inside the wraparound proof sleeve. What makes this especially interesting, in addition to the text free backdrop picture, is that the proof artwork for this sleeve mockup was eventually not used in the UK at all, but only saw release in this layout in Japan. The proof has 'The Who' at the top in yellow & 'Who Are You' at the bottom in red. The UK release design eventually had the 'Who Are You' title moved to the top and changed to a yellow print. Crying out for framing, either with a regular sleeve or with the text free photo mounted between this sleeve & the released version, this is a wonderful item from the last release to have the active participation of the much missed 'Moon the Loon') more...
