Running across four sheets of stave, as it does, it seems incredible that Frank actually hand wrote each of the parts for the twenty piece band arrangements & even more incredible that it still survives in pristine condition thirty seven years later. The score covers the opening 'Dog Breath Variations' into 'Uncle Meat'. This manuscript comes from the personal collection of Marty Perellis, who was the road manager for the tour & has also been authenticated by David Ocker who, later, became Zappa's music copyist [1977-1984]. Another one-off piece of history that, for my money, knocks an autograph into a cocked hat - An FZ original score TRANSCRIBED PERSONALLY by FZ for a member of the legendary Grand Wazoo Orchestra - It doesn't get much better than this!)

FRANK ZAPPA Original 200 Motels Film Score (Incredible 1971 US full score for the chorus parts of 200 Motels as supplied to a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus at work on the film. The score features the Soprano, Alto, Tenor & Bass vocal parts with lyrics, split into nine themed sections as 'Book One' & 'Book Two' of the main piece with a separate tenth part for the finale of Strictly Genteel. These are still in the original mailing envelope as transcribed from FZ's own score & sent to the individual musicians from the RPO's London HQ. What makes these even more interesting is that they have been annotated by the member of the chorus with notes taken at the rehearsals prior to filming - An incredible piece of history!)

FRANK ZAPPA Revised Music For Low Budget Symphony Orchestra (Unique 1972 US score for the entire piece as HAND WRITTEN by FZ, complete with Frank's own annotations - time signature changes, effect settings etc. Running across EIGHTEEN sheets of stave, as it does, it still seems incredible that Frank actually hand wrote each of the parts for the twenty piece band arrangements & even more incredible that it still survives in pristine condition thirty seven years later. Thescore itself is unusual in that it has the entire orchestral arrangement at concert pitch, implying that this was the Conductor's score, in other words Frank's OWN score. This manuscript comes from the personal collection of Marty Perellis, who was the road manager for the tour & has also been authenticated by David Ocker who, later, became Zappa's music copyist [1977-1984]. FRANK ZAPPA The Adventures Of Greggery Peccary (Unique 1972 US 8-page Ozalid copy of Frank's own hand written keyboard score for the epic piece as performed by the full Grand Wazoo Orchestra on the tour. This is Ian Underwood's personal copy of the score which has remained safely in the personal collection of Marty Perellis, who was the road manager for the tour, until now. It's interesting to see that most of the sections are already in place some five years before the final piece came to be released with different sections labelled 'Greggery invents The Calendar' & 'Greggery is attacked by a rage of hunchmen'. As befits a work copy of the score, there are a couple of historic unspecified 'road' stains, but being such a short tour (a 20-piece band isn't cheap to cart around!) the score is complete & unripped.
