FRANK ZAPPA The New Brown Clouds (Unique 1972 US score for the third trombone as HAND WRITTEN by FZ for Bruce Fowler, complete with Frank's own corrections & annotations. Running across five sheets of stave, as it does, it seems incrediblethat Frank actually hand wrote each of the parts for the twenty piece band arrangements & even more incredible that it still survives in pristine condition thirty seven years later. This manuscript comes from the personal collection of MartyPerellis, who was the road manager for the tour & has also been authenticated by David Ocker who, later, became Zappa's music copyist [1977-1984]. This was Bruce Fowler's first tour with Frank Zappa, which may be why he got the personal touch with regard to the score. He was also notable for some superb trombone work on the final 1988 tour - Another one-off piece of history that, for my money, knocks an autograph into a cocked hat - An FZ original score TRANSCRIBED PERSONALLY by FZ for a member of the legendary Grand Wazoo Orchestra - It doesn't get much better than this!)
