THE WHO Tommy (2006 US exclusive limited edition 24-track 2-LP set pressed on 200gram QUIEX SUPER VINYL, cut from the original 2-track ¼" master tapes on Classic Records' all-tube stereo cutting system by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, originally released in 1969 spawning such classics as 'Pinball Wizard' and 'See Me Feel Me', it was considered to be the very first 'rock opera' [although the Pretty Things' 1968 'SF Sorrow' predated 'Tommy' by 6months], but was initially banned by the BBC and US radio stations upon release due to its controversial yet imaginative story line, presented in an authentic fold-out front-laminated sleeve complete with booklet, housed in sticker-sealed PVC bag)
