THE BEATLES Please Please Me (Incredibly rare original 1963 UK 14-track mono LP on the black & gold Parlophone label with 'Dick James Mus. Co.' publishing credits for Please Please Me, I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Do You Want To Know A Secret & There's A Place, E.J. Day front laminated flipback picture sleeve. As is evident, this copy has been much loved to the point of near destruction & is only really of value to a completist. The sleeve shows significant wear with some corner & edge splits & creasing with a 3" horizontal split below the top flipback, not actually spoiling the design but grades Poor. As a plus point, there is no writing & all text is clearly legible, especially the spine which appears very good. The label print is legible though side one has some sticker residue visible. The vinyl is graded POOR & plays with distortion & multiple jumps per track. There are multiple heavy scratches both sides which severely hinders play & we would not recommend buying this for play testing at all. However, if you want a true black & gold first issue from 1963, then this is about the cheapest you will find one. WRECKED BUT RARE at an advantageous price PMC1202) more...
