THE SILKIE You've Got To Hide Your Love Away (2009 issue UK 16-track CD album - The Silkie are best remembered for their hit cover of the Beatles song 'You've Got To Hide Your Love Away', which made the U.S. top ten in 1965. The Silkie gave the song a somewhat more pop-folk treatment, complete with male-female harmonies and featured the involvement of three of the Beatles, with Paul McCartney contributed vocals and guitar, George Harrison added percussion via guitar taps and tambourine, and John Lennon did most of the producing, although McCartney is sometimes credited as co-producer with Lennon.
