QUINTESSENCE Quintessence (Original 1970 UK pink Island 'i'
label LP, peculiar & very colourful fully laminated tri-fold picture
sleeve that you need to unfold to remove the record. A key
group in the late '60s/early '70s Notting Hill underground[think
Pink Fairies, Edgar Broughton, Pretty Things], but with an
entirely different sound, blending folk, jazz, psychedelia, rock
and world music influences [particularly Indian ragas] into a
very 'spiritual sounding' brew. This is a wonderful
one-previous-owner copy, the delicate sleeve, always prone to
excessive wear, has just some very minor wear along the top
edge and corners [very minimal] and a little laminate rippling, the
labels show no spindle wear and the vinyl is near mint, looks to
have never been played ILPS9128)
