The autograph was obtained by Michael Hoffman on 16th April 1969 in New York while Jimi was on a break from his US Tour, between gigs at The Spectrum in Philadelphia on 12th April & The Ellis Auditorium in Memphis on 18th April. Jimi being Jimi,he naturally returned to New York to the twin comforts of the musical night life & Electric Lady.
