THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION Absolutely Free (If Verve didn't realise
that they'd not signed an R&B band after all with the second single
'Who Are The Brain Police?', they knew it now. This fantastic 1967 US
13-track stereo LP picked up from where 'Freak Out!' left off with
some timely digs at the 'Plastic People' & a scary vision of suburban
adolescent life in 'Brown Shoes Don't Make It', great gatefold ppicture
sleeve. There's a little note on the back of the sleeve 'You must buy
this record NOW as Top 40 Radio will never play it'. This was to prove
true for most of Frank's releases over the years, as he relentlessly
attacked hypocrisy in all of its forms, wherever he found it. For some
reason, certain people didn't like it. The Plastic People. Baby, you're
such a drag. This copy has also managed to remain factory sealed in
some long forgotten corner of a forgotten store in Centreville & is still
waiting for your stylus to be the first to gently caress its grooves. A
classic album, FACTORY SEALED & uncut from new!

This album was later re-issued, but never again in Mono & never again

colours, secure flipbacks, small handwritten name to back & very much
on the plus side of the VG grade. The vinyl has been professionally
cleaned & is graded EX. By no means mint, this is still a worthy
collection filler VLP9174)

FRANK ZAPPA & MOTHERS OF INVENTION Ahead Of Their Time
(An unusual 1993 UK promotional item, measuring 14" x 9½",
this mini poster is actually the Compact Disc album picture sleeve
which has not been folded to size and issued to promote the
album release, like the picture sleeve it has the full artwork on
one side with the catalogue number 'CDZP 51' printed, the other
has album 'plot' details. There is a small amount of paper loss to
one corner on the back, however the front print isfree from
damage and has been stored rolled for many years, ideal for
framing and displaying)
