Ptooff! - 1st - VG

THE DEVIANTS Ptooff! (Original 1968 US 8-track stereo LP on Sire - this monster debut album by the cult British group offers an explosive mix of proto-punk noise & heavy acid rock. Led by wild child Mick Farren, it's a British answer to MC5 & The Stooges, & a great example of the deliciously darker end of the sixties underground! Comes housed in a pop-art style gatefold pasted picture sleeve. The sleeve is Very Good with some light edge scuffing & a split in one of the side edges which remains intact with all print legible. The vinyl grades VG+ & reveals some mild cosmetic wear & faint spindle marks not affecting play SES97001)

Condition : -

We cannot dress this one up to look any better than it is. Condition wise, it is what it is. On the plus side, the poster is a true objet d'art. It remains intact! It looks amazing & you will want to study it for ages. The less positive aspects are the small tape marks along the top - these are barely worth a mention, as it's the way it was sold originally, via the OZ or IT magazine subscription - more so, there is heavy scuffing & small tears at many of the edges. It still folds out & stands proud & as we say, it is what it is.

The orange picture labels are a thing of beauty & an exclusive design. There's spindle marks all over the place... what can we say, someone had great fun playing this way out masterpiece! It still plays fantastic. There is much life left in this beast. We would grade the vinyl "good". There are many hairline scuffs but nothing that will upset play. There may be some surface noise but nothing unmanageable.

We are unlikely to ever see this one again. It usually hangs [in a similar state we might add!] at record fair walls around the world at a going-nowhere, exorbitant price. Grab a bargain. add to your collection Psych collection today.
