Axis: Bold As Love - 70s

JIMI HENDRIX Axis: Bold As Love (Rare circa 1972/3 UK issue of the 1967 13-track STEREO LP with '33 1/3' at the bottom of the label, and '420' country code matrix stamped denoting a Philips pressing, matt gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve shows minimal wear with just a little light scuffing to each corner, whilst the vinyl shows light signs of play with just a couple of light spindle marks to the labels. A really nice example of this hard to find pressing)

Both mono and stereo mixes of Jimi's first two albums were made by Jimi, Chas Chandler, and Eddie Kramer at Olympic Studios in 1967.
Final stereo mixing for the album was done on October 31, 1967 and November 1, 1967.
The vinyl is in superb condition with no visible marks or scratches. It shows no more than a couple of hairline marks under close inspection under bright light.
The labels are clean & bright with few spindle marks evident, indicating very little play.

The fully laminated gatefold picture sleeve is nothing short of stunning. The colours are deep and rich, the laminate is clean with no lift or damage. The spine is undamaged and internal flipbacks secure.

Clean copies of this album are becoming increasingly hard to find, this is a fantastic copy of the 1967 Stereo original with no need to ever worry about upgrading. A real gem!
