INNER CITY UNIT Solitary Ashtray (Legendary 1979 UK debut 7" vinyl single, also featuring So Try As Id, a Dub version of the title track which was actually a favourite of no less than Dennis Bovell. The song was originally to be titled 'Solitary Astrid' after the German terrorist Astrid Proll, but was changed to Ashtray to avoid controversy. You can see this easily because this copy has the very rare picture/lyric insert which still has the lines as 'Solitary Astrid'! RID001)
