JOHN COLTRANE & THE RED GARLAND TRIO Soultrane (Very scarce 1958 UK 5-track mono LP, one of Trane's personal favourites, with Red Garland, Paul Chambers & Arthur Taylor, recorded for Prestige shortly after his classic Blue Train on Blue Note.The picture sleeve is a unique design, front laminated with flipbacks & Ira Gitler's notes on the back with the first "sheets of sound" reference. The sleeve shows only a little light edge wear & is tape reinforced along the opening. The heavyweight vinyl is a high quality Esquire press, with raised edges & 'RVG' stamper in the run-outs. The disc is super clean with just light signs of handling or play - very nice!)
