A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...
| THE BEATLES Rubber Soul (1965 UK first press 14-track Mono LP,
with 'The Gramophone Co Ltd' & 'Sold in the UK' label text, front
laminated flipback picture sleeve PMC1267) See 'More info' for
further details ... #Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time
Tracklisting: Condition
The labels are matt black with Parlophone in bright yellow text, all other text is in silver.
The perimeter text states "The Gramophone Co Ltd" with "Sold In The UK Subject To Resale" text across the centre of the label.
The sleeve benefits from rich colours, secure flipbacks and clear spine print. There is a little shelfwear evident mainly just to the top and bottom edges, overall remaining in well kept shape. There is a little laminate creasing evident and a bit of scuffing/creasing at the corners but nothing to excess.
The unlaminated back shows just minor age discolouration with only the odd spot of minor wear, with no writing, remaining very respectable indeed. The previous owner chose to cross through the song titles with blue biro.
The heavyweight vinyl grades Very Good with some spindle marks & light scuffs/hairlines, not affecting play. A nice, if not mint, example of this desirable first issue.

| DEEP PURPLE Made In Japan - 1st - A–2U/B–1U/A2/B–1U (This is an odd pressing, a 1972
UK first issue 7-track double vinyl LP, on the Purple label with
'Gramophone Company' perimeter text and 'Made In GT.
Britain' credit, usually the first pressingfor this album has 1U
matrices on all sides, however side three [first side of the
second disc] has 'A2' without the 'Pecko' etching, so for some
reason which we can't find anywhere, this is a slightly
different pressing which technically isstill a first. The front
laminated gatefold sleeve shows only light wear whilst the
vinyl shows only light evidence of play TPSP351)

| THE BEATLES Yellow Submarine (Rare 1969 UK first press
13-track stereo LP on a dark green Apple label with 'Sold in
the UK' text, front laminated flipback picture sleeve with red
lines above and below rear liner notes, and without Garrod &
Lofthouse printers credit on the bottom flipback
PCS7070) Please see 'More Info' for full details ...
Tracklisting: More Information
The covers were manufactured by Garrod and Lofthouse, and are front laminated tri-flipback design, with the stereo covers printed with PCS 7070 and "stereo" in the upper right corner and red lines above and below rear sleeve notes.
On the lower flipback of the original first press, there is no credit for 'Garrod & Lofthouse' as the sleeve printer, but on second press (still with red lines) it does state "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patent No. 943,895".
At the bottom left of the back cover, the old Apple mark, which looks like a drawing, and the word "APPLE RECORDS" was printed.
The labels are the dark green apple design, with "Sold in U.K ..." text located on top and "("An E.M.I. Recording")" text located on the left.
Label have "("An E.M.I. Recording")" text on two lines.
The left-hand side of the label has "33 1/3", "Mfd. in U.K.".
The publishing year is printed with a small copyright symbol (p).
The matrix numbers are
YEX 715-1
YEX 716-1
Condition
The front laminated flipback picture sleeve is really nice. The front of the sleeve has crisp, clean undamaged laminate, with just a little light creasing to the laminate and a bit of lift at the corners.
The top and bottom edges are sharp with just light wear. The unlaminated rear of the sleeve has not suffered a great deal at all from the defects so commonly found in '60s originals such as staining or writing, and shows only the lightest shelfwear.
The labels are bright & clean with no writing or other imperfections. There are just a few spindle marks evident around the centre hole.
The vinyl remains in wonderful condition with just light scuffs to show for its near 60 years.
A really nice example of this rare first pressing.
