A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

SAVOY BROWN Getting To The Point (Rare 1968 UK 9-track MONO LP on the red unboxed deep groove Decca label. The group's second album which showcased a very different line-up to the original, still led by Kim Simmonds but fronted by new vocalistChris Youlden. Original material now started to creep in amongst the blues covers, which include great versions of Muddy Waters' 'Honey Bee' & 'You Need Love' by Willie Dixon (which served as the blueprint for 'Whole Lotta Love' by Led Zeppelin). This one previous owner copy remains in an outstanding condition. The front laminated picture sleeve with a pinch spine displays minimal wear, with a very clean non-laminated back which has only a little light sign of age. The labels are very clean with minimal spindle marks, and the vinyl has only very, very light paper scuffs. A stunning copy and highly recommended LK4935)

Tracklisting: 1. Flood in Houston 2. Stay with Me Baby 3. Honey Bee 4. The Incredible Gnome Meets Jaxman 5. Give Me a Penny 6. Mr. Downchild 7. Getting to the Point 8. Big City Lights 9. You Need Love
GENTLE GIANT Gentle Giant (Rare Mid 70s UK second issue of the debut 1970 7-track LP on the 'spaceship' Vertigo label, gatefold picture sleeve with lyrics and story inside. The sleeve shows minimal shelfwear with a little foxing to the inside & the vinyl looks barely played)

Tracklisting: The innovative first album from the Shulman brothers & co, including the big-riff laden opener, Giant, & staple, long term live set regulars, Funny Ways & Isn't It Quiet And Cold. All tracks featuring the late first drummer, Martin Smith. Essential listening & the beginning of a legendary run of progressive albums. Tracklisting: Giant Funny Ways Alucard Isn't It Quiet And Cold Nothing At All Why Not The Queen
TINA BROOKS Minor Move (2019 US limited edition reissue of the 1980 5-track stereo LP which has been specially plated & pressed at RTI on 180gram Vinyl and mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio from the original master tape. Released here as part of the Blue Note Tone Poet Series, these tracks were recorded in 1958 and also feature Lee Morgan, Sonny Clark, Doug Watkins and Art Blakey with engineering by Rudy Van Gelder. The ultra glossy heavy duty gatefold picture sleevehas a selection of black & image portrait images printed across the inside and the vinyl has only light signs of play)

Tracklisting: The Blue Note Tone Poet Series was born out of Blue Note President Don Was' admiration for the exceptional audiophile Blue Note LP reissues presented by Music Matters. Was brought Joe Harley (from Music Matters), a.k.a. the "Tone Poet," on board to curate and supervise a series of reissues from the Blue Note family of labels. Recorded in 1958, Minor Move was Tina Brooks' very first recording, although it wasn't released until 1980, six years after his tragic death at the age of 42. In fact, Brooks' 1960 classic True Blue was the saxophonist's only album released during his all-too-short lifetime. Once all four of Brooks' Blue Note albums were released his status as one of the most innovative tenor saxophone stylists in jazz has become clear. Features all-analog, from-the-original-tape mastering, in a deluxe gatefold cover. A1. Nutville A2. The Way You Look Tonight B1. Star Eyes B2. Minor Move B3. Everything Happens To Me
CARAVAN Waterloo Lily (1972 UK first press 6-track LP on the tan & white Deram label, the band's fourth longplayer with a distinctly jazzy feel & the only album to feature Stephen Miller on keyboards. Includes the twelve minute plus suite 'The Love In Your Eye'. Comes housed in a matte gatefold sleeve detailing a scene from "The Tavern Scene" [or The Orgy] from A Rake's Progress by William Hogarth with artwork of a large buxom lady spread across the inner spread & the second issue 'SDL-R8' catalogue number printed on the back. The cover appears Near Mint with few signs of wear & the vinyl is Excellent to Near Mint with only a few very minor signs of play SDL8)
