A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

THE BEATLES Please Please Me (1963 UK fifth pressing 14-track mono LP with 'The Parlophone Co' label perimeter text & 'Recording First Published' credit, but without 'Sold In UK', front laminated Ernest J. Day flipback picture sleeve with polylined 'Emitex' inner PMC1202)
** See 'More Info' for further details on condition ...

Tracklisting: The first three issues were on the black and gold design label and the first yellow & black issue lacked the 'Recording First Published' text & retained the small '33 1/3' after the matrix number of the first two pressings. The second yellow & black removed the small '33 1/3' print. This is therefore technically the fifth issue, still from 1963 and still with matrix numbers ending -1. The Labels: Black and Yellow Parlophone in design with 'The Parlophone Co Ltd' perimeter & 'Recording First Published' label text. As this is a 1963 pressing there is no 'Sold in the UK' text across the centre of the label. The Sleeve: The Ernest J. Day flipback sleeve has the large block 'mono' logo on the front & benefits from crisp, clean laminate & rich colours. All text is clearly readable. There is a little creasing evident and a small amount of edge scuffing but nothing significant. The previous owner has neatly written a catalogue number on the back. The flipbacks are secure, the spine looks stunning & this is otherwise a very respectable example. Vinyl: The vinyl retains a deep sheen on both sides. There is just a little spindle wear on the labels & a few light surface hairlines to show for its fifty five years but again, nothing significant and they have no effect on play. The 'Use Emitex' inner is the correct poly lined variant. An iconic classic from the Fabs that should be in every record collection. Tracklisting: 01. I Saw Her Standing There 02. Misery 03. Anna 04. Chains 05. Boys 06. Ask Me Why 07. Please Please Me 08. Love Me Do 09. PS I Love You 10. Baby It's You 11. Do You Want To Know A Secret 12. A Taste Of Honey 13. Theres A Place 14. Twist & Shout
THE WHO Pinball Wizard (Archive quality 1967 Japanese mono 7" single, also featuring Dogs Part Two, complete with the original and unique flipback picture sleeve plus lyric insert. The sleeve shows minimal wear with no splits or discolourationto the reverse and the insert has just the lightest shallow bend/fold, whilst the vinyl is Near Mint - you won't find a better copy! DP-1539)

Tracklisting: 1. Pinball Wizard 2. Dogs Part Two
ART PEPPER Meets The Rhythm Section (Limited Edition 1992 US Analogue Productions issue of the classic 1957 9-track stereo LP, expertly remastered via an all-analogue tube process & pressed on 180gram Vinyl, also starring Red Garland, Paul Chambers & Philly Joe Jones. Comes housed in a deluxe & fully glossed picture sleeve with a silver numbered sticker on the back. Both the sleeve & vinyl are Near Mint. This edition is now long out of print APJ010)

Tracklisting: 1. You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To 2. Red Pepper Blues 3. Imagination 4. Waltz Me Blues 5. Straight Life 6. Jazz Me Blues 7. Tin Tin Deo 8. Star Eyes 9. Birks Works
CULTURE CLUB From Luxury To Heartache (Rare 1986 UK AUTOGRAPHED 10-track vinyl LP including God Thank You Woman & Move Away, picture sleeve and lyric inner. The front of the sleeve has been signed 'from Boy George x', against his own image, inblack marker pen!)
