VELVET UNDERGROUND The Velvet Underground & Nico (Essential 1967 US East Coast press blue & silver Verve label 11-track stereo LP, housed in the legendary Andy Warhol pasted gatefold sleeve with unpeeled banana sticker & no torso image on theback [airbrushed]. The label is a large 't' blue & silver Verve design with 'Side 1' & '2' to the lower left [East Coast design] & hand scratched matrices in the run-offs. This is wonderful collector's example & one of the best we've seen in many years. The vinyl has an incredible deep sheen both sides & we have given the record a professional clean for optimum playback. It is virtually impossible to find a copy of this album that doesn't show signs of play. Yes, there are some very faint hairlines in the odd area on close inspection but these are rendered purely cosmetic with the vinyl grading a healthy Excellent allround. The iconic sleeve grades Excellent with few signs of shelfwear, no deletion cuts, no writing or creasing & no signs of peeling to the banana. The spine is clear as day & the panels remain off white. Highly Recommended V6-5008)
