PINK FLOYD A Saucerful Of Secrets (Original 1968 French green and silver label 7-track stereo LP, housed in a front laminated flipback picture sleeve with intact index tab. The sleeve displays minimal shelfwear with only slight creasing to the laminate, intact edges, clearly legible spine print and secure flipbacks. The vinyl is in stunning near 'as new' condition, only a couple of faint paper scuffs are visible when viewed under strong direct light and it retains a glorious shine. The labels are clean with sharp print and barely discernible spindle wear indicating very little play. You would be very unlikely to ever find a better French copy than this - superb! PINK FLOYD A Saucerful Of Secrets (Rare 1968 UK first pressing 7-track MONO LP on the Columbia blue & black label, with 'Sold In UK' label text. The front laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' flipback sleeve has the Hipgnosis credit & mono 'SX6258'number & is complete with its red tinted company inner. The sleeve has a 4cm seam split to the bottom, otherwise shows only light wear with a little creasing & wear to the opening and a little dulling of the corners. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & play tested and shows light paperscuffs across most of the surface, with just a few heavier marks here or there, however thanks to the resilience of sixties vinyl, aiside from some more pronounced clicks in the quieter parts of Jugband Blues, there is just light crackle in the background at times, but nothing which intrudes too much. The sleeve has a 6" seam split to the bottom, and shows tape repair, otherwise shows only light wear with a little creasing & wear to the opening, a carefully signed previous owner signature (hard to see) and a little dulling of the corners. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & play tested and shows only a few light marks, mainly to Side 2; (graded VG+) however after playtesting and thanks to the resilience of sixties vinyl, any background noise is minimal. The front laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' flipback sleeve has the Hipgnosis credit & mono 'SX6258'number & is complete with its company inner, showing handwritten track times. The sleeve appears to show 'misalignment' - there's a tiny area (<1mm width) of white sleeve showing underneath top flipback, with light signs of wear, with a little laminate corner creasing and just a little faint paper loss to the edges of the flipbacks, with the previous owner carefully signing their name on part of the unlaminated back leaving it VG+. The vinyl is clean & on close inspection, reveals a few minor hairlines or scuffs which, thanks to the quality of sixties vinyl, do not upset playback leaving it a nice EX-/VG+ condition example SX6258) more...

The front laminated picture sleeve is in spectacular condition, with only a couple of light creases to the laminate, the flipbacks are intact and the non-laminated back remains extremely clean with minimal signs of wear or age, and includes the correct period advertising inner, which also shows minimal signs of age. Both sides of the label have a large red & gold Odeon label attached above the spindle hole, as this extremely rare example was made by EMI Records for export out of the U.K. They were specifically sold in South America (Argentina, Brazil) where Odeon Records were distributed, prior to thesecountries making their own records. They also barely ever appear for sale online! The Hipgnosis designed cover has a slightly smaller custom red & gold Odeon label attached over the EMI logo on the back. The cover is Excellent & shows some faint ring wear for its age. The vinyl remains in Excellent condition with a deep sheen both sides & only the lightest evidence of a paper hairline to show play.
