VELVET UNDERGROUND Loaded (Very scarce original 1971 UK Atlantic Plum & Red 10-track stereo LP, the classic fourth album which includes some of Lou's finest works; Sweet Jane, Rock & Roll, I Found A Reason, New Age, phew!! The Velvet'swere a niche act in 1970 & this record sold in very small numbers & was quickly deleted as the band imploded, making it hard to find. Due to its matt finish, the sleeve has picked up a couple of faint storage scuffs including a little corner creasing, but nothing excessive. The vinyl is clean & reveals just a few mild paper scuffs not affecting play. A great example)

VELVET UNDERGROUND The Velvet Underground (Rare 1969 first issue 10-track STEREO LP, which features the uncensored shot of Lou holding a magazine on the front, a unique 'split-screen' photo on the reverse and Val Valentin engineer credit, front laminated flip-back picture sleeve. After the departure of John Cale this third album marked a real shift in style for the band with several acoustic songs and more direct songwriting throughout, leaving aside The Murder Mystery that is! The sleeve shows some ringwear and edgewear with some light laminate rippling along the spine but remains fully intact, the vinyl does show some visible scuffs/hairlines with the occasional 'pop' in places but this is minimal and does not greatly impact upon the overall sound - this is a hard-to-find record and the first one we've ever seen! This was their first album without John Cale & the first to feature Lou Reedas sole composer. Being one of the earliest copies of the band's third album, it contains the legendary, possibly erroneously issued, 'Closet' Mix by Lou Reed, rather than the regular Val Valentin Mix that quickly replaced this on subsequent US LPs. The 'Closet' Mix remained unissued in most other countries & on all CD issues. This mix was only officially to see the light of day again on disc four of the 1995 Box Set 'Peel Slowly And See'. Despite approaching 40 years old this copy remains in frankly astonishing condition. Thesleeve is a jaw-dropping bright white with not a hint of foxing or discolouration, only a very minor pair of corner creases to show for its years in storage!
