THE ROLLING STONES Their Satanic Majesties Request (Monster Rare
1968 Japanese promotional 10-track deep groove stereo LP, an
original & near mythical Japanese pressing for this album before the
UK export version. Not much is out there regarding the history of this
promo-only Japanese pressing - our Japanese buyer believes it to be
the rarest Stones vinyl LP from the King Records era, as stock copies
were imported with UK pressed vinyl. The labels here are custom
black on white with the three character Kanji symbol reference left &
right on the label for promotional purposes. Comes complete with a
US non-laminated gatefold sleeve with the 3D diffraction grating
image. The sleeve remains in Excellent condition with just light
general wear & very little of the usual bowing to the front panel, there
is a past owners name written on the back, but is still really nice. The
vinyl is the part we're unlikely to ever see again. A true Japanese
promo-only pressing, how many of these are left in circulation must
be a tiny handful if that. There is no writing on the labels, just some
light foxing commensurate with age. The vinyl grades Very Good &
reveals a few faint paper scuffs & the odd couple of hairline marks not
upsetting play, and is in a Kin Record Co., Ltd die-cut card sleeve. If
you're collecting every Stones variant for this album, this has got to
be the hardest one to find... NPS2)
