THE BEATLES Please Please Me (Rare 1964 Australian second issue 14-track mono LP. Similar to the first UK issue, this LP has a black & gold label but has the 'Made In Australia' credit moved to just under the 'Parlophone' logo, where the very first release had the credit around the bottom of the label under 'The Beatles'. This dates this issue to either January or February 1964, as they changed the label to the black & yellow version in March. As only five hundred sleeves were imported from the UK to house the first issue and they were available for just over two months, then it is statistically reasonable to believe that this second issue was made in similar quantities. The silk laminated flipback picture sleeve was printed in Australia, rather than a UK import, and was actually printed in blue to save money in case The Beatles were a passing pop fad! PMCO1202)

THE BEATLES Please Please Me (Rare 1963 UK black and gold Parlophone label STEREO issue 14-track vinyl LP - the holiest of holy Beatles collectibles, released 6 weeks later than the mono edition, featuring the infamous John Lennon mistakein the final verse of the title track; presented in a front laminated picture sleeve, complete with original Emitex inner. Visually, this copy isn't the most beautiful, with the sleeve showing signs of ringwear, laminate creasing and a tear tothe bottom flipback. The vinyl too, shows surface marks, proving it has been enjoyed. However, once set a top the turntable, the sonic beauty overpowers these superficial physical imperfections, without a skip or jump to be heard, only the comforting light pop and crackle synonymous with the medium. A truly unique chance to own THE Beatles collectible at a truly advantageous price. Whoever said beauty is only skin deep was sadly mistaken)
