The sleeve which has a 'pinched' spine displays a little laminate lift with corner creasing and light ringwear. The vinyl shows a few light spindlemarks but the vinyl itself appears barely played. As to condition, this disc can be described as VG at best although it does actually play through without fault. There is a considerable amount of surface noise present & the sonics can hardly be described as Hi-Fi anyway. Nonetheless, it is what it is and it proved to be a serious nuisance to actually identify as we'd never seen one before. As can be expected, the sleeve shows a fair amount of edge scuffing & a few scuffs but otherwise has fared remarkably well.There is a little historic tape residue visible to the top of the sleeve, but this does not detract from the 'feel' of the piece. Both sleeve and labels are free of any writing or significant blemishes, which is very unusual. The heavyweight vinyl has obviously seen some play, but other than that displays just a few surface hairlines & the odd light scuff. THE BEATLES Hit Disk & Photographic Album (Impossibly Rare & Very Limited Mid 80s Japanese-only 3-LP box set, a promotional-only package for the Nissan Pulsar car released for a very brief spell in Japan only when 'Oh! Darling' was being usedon the soundtrack for a Japanese Nissan advert. The contents comprise vinyl stock copies of the Abbey Road LP [EAS-80560], Let It Be LP [EAS-80561] & the Hey Jude LP [EAS-80570], with each part complete with its deluxe picture sleeve, fold-outJapanese insert & Union Flag obi-strip. The sleeves are Excellent with very little wear [tiny spot of foxing detected], still in open protective bags & the vinyl discs are UNPLAYED. Also includes a softback 1985 Japanese edition of Dezo Hoffmann's photobook titled 'Photographic Record Of Their First Tour', with Japanese leaflet & obi-strip, all Near Mint. The outer packaging is one of a kind - a custom 12" tall card envelope box with unique Nissan Pulsar lettering, '15th Anniversary' print [for Apple Records presumably, production for the Pulsar began in 1978] & large Apple logo in blue on white. The box is in Excellent condition with very little age wear. This is the one & only example of this Beatles set we have seen. It's as nice as it gets & is unlikely to ever be spotted again!) more...
