THE GRATEFUL DEAD Dark Star (Super Rare 1968 Japanese
wide centred 7" single pressed exclusively on Dark Red Vinyl,
also featuring Born Cross-Eyed, housed in the original die-cut
Toshiba Records bag & complete with a very cool & unique
pictureinsert with all text in Japanese on the back. The cover
is thin & delicate & has survived very well with no tears,
showing inevitable creasing & some foxing on the back
commensurate with Japanese paper goods of this vintage. A
few phrases onthe back have been historically underlined in
biro. The vinyl grades VG+/EX- & on close inspection there
are a few faint paper scuffs & just light evidence of play. This
is the first time we have ever seen or stocked this little
beauty before! BR-1965)

GRATEFUL DEAD Viola Lee Blues (Part 1 & 2) (Rare 1967
Japanese red Warner Bros label 7" vinyl single with 'MFD In
Japan By Toshiba Musical Industries Ltd' perimiter text, with the
rare unique wraparound picture insert printed with 'G' & '¥370'
price point on the front, with Japanese biography text and
English lyrics printed inside, and with a record company sleeve.
The insert for this single is usually found in poor condition and
badly discoloured or faded, hoever this example shows minimal
wear with just a small aount of ringwear to the mostly white
back and no foxing or tears, whilst the vinyl shows very little
evidence of play. A fantastic example and the first we have ever

edition 12" pressed on 180 Gram Vinyl, mixed by Jeffrey
Norman and mastered by David Glasser, released in celebration of the
40thAnniversary of the legendary Europe ’72 tour. Grateful Dead’s
'Dark Star' was their ultimate improvisational vehicle, allowing the

this is one of the longest versions of the song recorded clocking in at
over 40 minutes, with nearly 20 minutes of the song on the first side
followed by a mid-song drum solo and the song's epic finale on the
second side. Housed in a heavy card pasted picture sleeve with this
copy still sealed in the original hype and Record Store Day stickered
shrink) **Limited to 4,200 copies Worldwide**
