DONOVAN Electric Moon (Very Rare 1970 UK single sided metal based methyl cellulose lacquer STEREO acetate, recorded as a demo to give to Claudine Longet, who recorded her version on the 'We've Only Just Begun' album. Donovan's original version remains unreleased to this day. The acetate has a custom typed Apple Corps Ltd. acetate label with the 3 Savile Row address. Unlike a lot of 'demo' acetates that were songs to be given away, this appears to be a complete finished work & not just a 'rough' made to hand out as a guide. This copy is also as near mint as an acetate gets, given their fragile nature, & has obviously been played very few times, retaining a clarity & crispness seldom found on work demos. A fantastic item & if not unique by now in itself, it certainly is in this beautiful condition. It will have been one of no more than a handful produced & to have survived in this near perfect condition is a miracle!) more...
