DAVID GILMOUR Blu-Spec Album Set (Limited Edition 2020 Japanese exclusive SIX Blu-Spec CD Box Set [an audio CD format using Blu-Ray technology, playable on all CD players] in the David Gilmour Papersleeve Collection series, featuring all of Gilmour's solo releases & one live album, fully remastered. Each studio album disc is housed in its mini-LP gatefold picture sleeve with its Japanese booklet, obi-strip & hype stickered resealable bag, whilst the 'Live In Gdansk' release is housed in a clamshell picture box with inserts, matching obi-strip & hype stickered resealable bag. This fantastic set comes housed in a very collectable glossy picture card box featuring the artwork for Gilmour's debut solo album, with a slide out draw. This box was only available to Japanese customers who purchased or pre ordered the albums. This is the first time we have had the pleasure to offer this Near Mint set with the now very rare box! Sony Music Entertainment Inc. has used its Blu-ray Disc technology to develop an audio CD [Blu-Spec] with high sound quality. The new discs are built using polymer polycarbonate materials as well as an optimized Blue Laser Beam cutting technology that improves the quality of the laser beam. The applied Blu-ray Disc polycarbonate polymer material introduces less jitter [noise] and thus, high-quality audio reproduction. Blu-Spec CDs conform to the standard audio CD [CDDA/Red Book] format and are compatible with existing CD players.
