Evening Standard Souvenir Friday July 4 1969

ROLLING STONES Evening Standard Souvenir Friday July 4 1969 (1969 UK 16" x 12½" 40-page newspaper, a special souvenir edition of the popular London daily, issued one day after Brian Jones had been found dead and the day before their legendaryHyde Park show, truely a pivotal time for the band. Unusually for the time, the wraparound cover is in full colour and features a great shot of the band with member portraits on the reverse. The middle two pages have articles on the band, theupcoming concert and Mick Taylor joining the band with black & white photographs. The paper has been folded twice for storage purposes and as one might expect shows light yellowing and creasing to the edges of the pages; all the pages are present & correct and free from any major tears or discolouration. This is an item which was designed to have a life-span of one day and has been carefully stored since that momentous day over half a century earlier)
