CAPTAIN BEEFHEART & MAGIC BAND Safe As Milk (Debut 1967 UK first press 12-track mono LP on the powder blue Pye label, showcasing the Captain's amalgamation of moods, from the blues feeling of Grown So Ugly to the dream like atmosphere of I'm Glad; a superb album that shows why he attained such a cult following. Comes housed in a 'fish eye' lens front laminated flipback picture sleeve. The cover displays a small amount of discolouration to front with a 2.5" split to the top edge, despite this the flipbacks remain excellent with all text visual tot eh spine. The vinyl itself has noticable spindle with a few light surface scuffs inidicating previous play leaving it VG. A nice, if not mint, example of this rare first press NPL28110)
