ROLLING STONES The Rolling Stones No. 2 (Here we have a private copy of the 1965 UK 12-track deep groove mono LP, complete with its original front laminated picture sleeve with the controversial 'Blind Man' text on the back. This record tellsits own incredible story in writing, for it once belonged to a keen fan of the Stones in their early days. This young impressionable fan wrote to the group the same year of the album's release & was lucky enough to receive a letter back from none other than Brian Jones! The letter, written on folded notepaper measuring 7" x 5.5", exchanges pleasantries & refers to a horse race, Keith Richards' pet dog at the time & Brian's own cat he says he called 'Pussy', ending 'I must rush', with an authentic signature from Brian in blue pen with love & kisses. The original mini envelope that the letter was addressed to is included with the postage stamp, handwritten address in the same pen & a '29 Apr 1965' date stamp, pinpointing the exact day a certain Vicki Stiles received this now astonishingly collectable piece. The condition of the record is neither here nor there [the vinyl could certainly do with replacing at some point & is a 'fair' copy at best]; the original owner's initials 'V.S.' is penned on the back panel at the top in blue. The signature & indeed the entire letter is still as vivid as the day it was first written, with no discolouring. A serious collector's piece LK4661)
