PINK FLOYD The Wall (Very Rare & Genuine July 1982 UK 27" x 41" theatrical release movie poster designed by Gerald Scarfe for the Alan Parker rock opus, which was sent to theatres to be displayed in the lobby or outside the theatre to promotethe film's engagement. This rare example comes complete with bonus VIP goodies - an original 'admit one' flyer for the press show held on Monday 12th July 1982 at the Empire in Leicester Square, London, a four-page film programme [8" x 10") listing the synopsis, cast & credits with the poster's design in black & white on the front, plus a four-page ticket application booklet [8" x 10") for the World Charity Premiere of the movie held at the venue (14th July) with the poster's design in colour on the front page. This incredible & orginal one sheet poster depicts Scarfe's instantly recognisable colour artwork which has since become a classic rock “n” roll image, with the film's production credit in white & the MGM/UA logo at the bottom right. The poster is unbacked & rolled, it has never been folded, & is unused without pin or staple holes. The thick paper stock is in fine condition, with just a few hairline creases at the edges. This particular example has some very mild discolouring creeping in from the left hand side (& on the left & right corners of the back) which does nothing to spoil the fantastic artwork & there are no blemishes that stand in its way. The additional press booklets already mentioned remain in Excellent condition with few signs of handling & complete a wonderful & very rare package indeed)
