THE BEATLES Strawberry Fields Forever (1967 Finnish 7" vinyl single with intact four prong centre, also featuring Penny Lane, housed in the incredibly rare UK printed paper picture sleeve. The thin paper sleeve on this copy shows some creasing &a few small spots of minor discolouration in places, but remains free from any writing, splits or tears. The vinyl, pressed in Finland by Westerlund, also remains in very acceptable VG/VG+ condition, showing just a few surface scuffs from itstravels from the Summer of Love to today & playing without fault. The paper sleeves were imported from the UK, as happened in some other countries too, from a total 250,000 printed. This sounds a lot today, but a Beatles single then was likely to have advance orders of over a million in the UK alone, that's without other countries & over the counter sales, making this sleeve very hard to find, especially undamaged & not defaced. All in all a very acceptable VG/VG+ copy of this very rare Finnish release at an advantageous price R5570)
