A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

CENTIPEDE Septober Energy (Rare 1971 UK RCA/ Neon label 4-track [4 long sides] stereo double LP, one of the biggest if not the biggest freeform gathering on record from Britain at the time, starring a large ensemble of 50+ musicians, including members of King Crimson, Soft Machine, Blossom Toes, Alan Skidmore's group, and Ian Carr with Nucleus! The album was arranged by pianist Keith Tippett & produced by Robert Fripp & is an epic journey into the outer regions of free form jazz. The gatefold sleeve shows only light signs of shelf wear but due to the nature of the finish being matt it does have some general age discoloration but is otherwise excellent. Both vinyl discs are clean & show just the lightest signs of play - a progressive milestone for the headstrong! NE9)

Tracklisting: Side 1 Side 2 Side 3 Side 4
HOWARD JONES The Howard Jones Story (1989 US promotional-only United Stations Radio Network double LP, first broadcast on the weekend of May 13-14th that year, featuring songs & interview clips with Howard Jones, housed in a custom title sleeve with cue sheets & proof of broadcasting clearance report card. Both vinyl discs are near 'as new')
TOOMORROW Toomorrow (1970 UK RCA orange label stereo 12-track vinyl LP soundtrack from the Harry Salzman~Don Kirshner cult film 'Toomorrow', featuring the unmistakable vocals of Olivia Newton-John, alongside Ben Thomas, Vic Cooper and Karl Chambers. The sleeve on this copy does show some noticeable ringwear, edgewear, small split on the bottom and laminate creasing but remains fully intact and is graded VG. The vinyl is also graded VG as it too shows some hairlines and scuffs, however play testing reveals only one discernable 'pops' with the remainder of the disc playing through with no significant deterioration in sound quality - overall a more than acceptable play copy priced advantageously LSA3008)

Tracklisting: This is an original UK first pressing with matrix numbers ZYRS 4875 -1 and ZYRS 4876 -1, although as the record failed to light-up the UK charts with sales success there was, anyway, only one pressing! The vinyl does show some surface marks with one mark most noticeable on side one, however play testing reveals only one discernable 'pop' with the remainder of the disc playing through with no significant deterioration in sound quality. It's a decent 1970 quality vinyl pressing; there is minor audible surface noise on the run-in to both sides, but this dissipates when the music kicks in and the linking groove between tracks is virtually silent. All-in-all, it's a great playing copy. The sleeve has not fared so well. Being black it shows up all the creases and signs of age that have affected it. The front is laminated, and this remains intact. There is an obvious ringear impresssion and the top corners have noticeable creases. All seams are intact, and the spine is still clearly readable with no splits in the paper or laminate. The back cover is not laminated and, being white, it too shows all the imperfections that have afflicted its 35-year life. The ringwear impression is evident, the edges are dirty. Having described all these imperfections, it still remains a decent copy. As one of the most sought-after soundtracks, not only for the Olivia Newton-John performance but also the excellent Hugo Montenegro 'Moog' track 'Spaceport', it remains incredibly hard to find in any condition. As the front cover states, "Launch out on a musical cosmic trip with the new 'Toomorrow'..." 1. You're My Baby 2. Taking Our Own Sweet Time 3. Toomorrow (Instrumental) 4. Let's Move On 5. Walkin' On Air (Instrumental) 6. If You Can't Be Hurt 7. Toomorrow 8. Walkin' On Air 9. Spaceport (composed by Hugo Montenegro) 10. Happiness Valley 11. Let's Move On 12. Goin' Back
