A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

BADFINGER Ass (Super rare 1973 Japanese 10-track vinyl LP, picture sleeve with the donkey / carrot picture inner, 8-page illustrated fold-out Japanese lyric / discography booklet + wide picture obi-strip. This album is rarely found with the original picture inner, let alone the obi-strip, and this copy is in amazing condition. The sleeve shows just a little light scuffing at the corners with a small dent to the end of the opening edge and there is some light foxing to the obi-strip,but the vinyl is in MINT condition - An incredible complete copy of this elusive pressing! Tracklisting: Side One: 1. Apple Of My Eye 2. Get Away 3. Icicles 4. The Winner 5. Blind Owl Side Two: 6. Constitution 7. When I Say 8. Cowboy 9. I Can Love You Background :- This was Badfinger's fourth & final album for Apple, as they signed to Warner Brothers during the sessions. It was never actually released in the UK but eventually made its way to the fair shores of Albion by being imported. This saw the band stretching out from the safety of the Beatles' umbrella & included some superlative songwriting from Pete Ham & Tom Evans & Joey Molland with even Mike Gibbins contributing a song. Starting with a bit of a dig at their current record company, from which they parted on less than friendly terms & ending with the majestic Pete Ham song 'Timeless', this is an album often overlooked. While it does lack the consistency of 'Straight Up', it nonetheless still holds its head high today as a wrongfully neglected album, deserving of a wider audience. You will not be disappointed.
QUATERMASS Quatermass (1970 UK first issue 9-track LP with 'The Gramophone Co' label credit on the perimeter & no EMI logo, front laminated gatefold sleeve with company inner. The sleeve is age worn with obvious creasing & scuffing from storage, but nothing that hinders the arresting Hipgnosis artwork. The vinyl fairs better with a few light paper scuffs/hairlines, spindle & cosmetic wear to indicate play. By no means mint, this is a serviceable example & a nice collection filler at aknockdown rate SHVL775)
PINK FLOYD A Nice Pair (1975 first issue Japanese Harvest/Odeon 18-track double vinyl LP repackaging of 'The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn' and 'A Saucerful Of Secrets', housed in a heavy duty gatefold picture sleeve complete with inners reproducingthe original album artwork, an illustrated 20-page booklet with detailed Japanese text band history, discography and lyrics, plus original wide obi-strip - despite some foxing to the gatefold sleeve this an otherwise superb package overall!
