A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

AMON DUUL II Wolf City (1972 UK 7-track vinyl LP, pressed in Germany for the UK market, with UK printed gatefold picture sleeve. The labels have the same design as the UK but with the 'Made in England' section of the perimeter text blanked out, and 'Made In Germany' printed to the right of the 'UA' logo (also machine stamped into the dead wax areas). Wolf City is right up there alongside Yeti & Phallus Dei as classic Amon Duul II, with more structure taking hold than previous psychedelic efforts, & Renate Knaup's incredible vocals leading the way. The sleeve shows little of its age & the vinyl looks barely played UAG29406)

Tracklisting: Surrounded By The Stars Green Bubble Raincoated Man Jail-House Frog Wolf City Wie Der Wind Am Ende Einer Strasse Deutsch Nepal Sleepwalker's Timeless Bridge
CHARLES MINGUS Pithecanthropus Erectus (1961 second US issue of the 1956 4-track mono vinyl LP, on the plum & red Atlantic label with white fan logo to the right, housed in a beautiful silk laminated heavy duty pasted picture sleeve with company catalogue inner. This was Mingus' first masterpiece, with the boundary-pushing title piece,'Profile Of Jackie' & a wonderfully modern arrangement of Gershwin's 'A Foggy Day', also starring Jackie McLean (alto), J. R. Monterose (tenor), MalWaldron (piano) & Willie Jones (drums). Despite a name & date discreetly penned on the back, the sleeve is otherwise near mint & the vinyl looks barely touched!)
