SONNY CLARK Leapin' And Lopin' (Very rare FIRST ISSUE 1962 US 6-track MONO vinyl LP on the 'New York USA' perimeter text Blue note label with 'RVG' stamped & 'ear' mark [present only on the first pressing] in the dead wax, front laminated pasted picture sleeve with company catalogue inner. The sleeve has three areas of paper loss to the unlaminated reverse; one in a blank area, just under the catalogue number with no impact to any text, the second is between the second & third paragraphs on the third column, with some lost text, the final area is on the 'Users of Wide Range Equipment...' recommendation to the bottom, also with lost text. That's the bad news out of the way; the front shows very little sign of wear and still shines brightly. The labels have a little spindle wear and the vinyl shows very little sign of play, leaving it an easy Excellent and reaching higher perhaps. A very hard record to locate at the best of times, this copy would be a tough one to beat on the vinyl grading! BLP4091) more...
