ARCHIE SHEPP Attica Blues (1972 US original 10-track stereo LP, on a red rim black label, a stirring soul jazz classic on Impulse by the avant-gardist, starring a large group of stellar musicians including flügelhornist/composer Cal Massey, Marion Brown on flute/percussion & Dave Burrell on electric piano. Includes the leftfield jazz funk of Blues For Brother George Jackson & those strange, kid-vocals on Quiet Dawn, pasted gatefold sleeve. The sleeve shows only light signs of shelf wear with a couple of staple holes to the front & back, whilst the vinyl appears barely played AS-9222)
