BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD Buffalo Springfield (1966 US mustard & grey label first pressing MONO 12-track LP with the track For What It's Worth, pasted picture sleeve with deletion punch-hole to the bottom right corner and song-hype sticker. The sleeve has small ticks against the first four tracks on the reverse, otherwise shows light wear with no seam splits; the vinyl is between Excellent & Near Mint with very little indication of play - a superb copy)

DON CHERRY Complete Communion (1966 first US issue 8-track mono LP, with 'New York USA' address label & 'Van Gelder' stamp in the run-outs. This was the first solo album Don Cherry recorded for Blue Note, following his departure from the OrnetteColeman Quartet. It was also one of the earliest showcases for the Argentinian tenor saxophonist Gato Barbieri, who goes by his full name, Leandro 'Gato' Barbieri. Henry Grimes (bass) & Edward Blackwell (drums) round off an impressive debut. The pasted sleeve, with catalogue inner, shows a little scuffing or light discolouring, with all text legible including along the spine. The vinyl is clean & Excellent with just the lightest signs of play BLP4226)

THE INCREDIBLE JIMMY SMITH Crazy! Baby (1960 US 7-track deep groove mono LP with 'ear' etching & 'RVG' [Rudy Van Gelder] stamp in both sides of the dead wax. The first side of the label has the original 'West 63rd' address & the second side has atransitional 'New York USA' address. Comes housed in the original pasted laminate sleeve with Reid Miles design & stunning photography from Bob Ganley for the cover girl shot. The sleeve [VG+] has a few minor corner scuffs with some age yellowing to the back panel. All text remains clearly legible including the spine & there is a vintage tax import sticker on the rear which pinpoints the era [small name penned to a back corner]. The vinyl grades VG/VG+ with some faint cosmetic age wear & minor spindle marks which have little to no effect on a mono playback setting BLP4030)

DUANE ALLMAN Skydog: The Duane Allman Retrospective (2013 US limited edition first issue 129-track seven CD box set, produced by Duane's daughter Galadrielle Allman and esteemed reissue producer Bill Levenson, this set shows the full breadth anddepth ofhis work, from early recordings with Gregg in bands such as The Escorts, Allman Joys and Hourglass, to his studio work with Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Boz Scaggs, Delaney & Bonnie, Ronnie Hawkins and many others along with a livejam sessionwith the Grateful Dead. The set includes several unreleased performances, many classic Allman Brothers songs, and a collector's cache of rare singles and long out-of-print album tracks.
