 | SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES The Rapture (National Album Day 2023
UK/EU limited edition 12-track double album 2-LP pressed on
Translucent Blue
Vinyl, including O Baby, Stargazer and Tearing
Apart. Picture sleeve, hype sticker & factory sealed
SATBLP14C)
Tracklisting: Of all the Banshees albums, their final The Rapture is their most wildly schizophrenic and arguably their most ambitious. Half of the album was produced by Velvet Underground alumnus and art rock pioneer John Cale, while the band took control of the rest. The 11th and final studio album from Siouxsie and the Banshees – The Rapture was also as fresh and innovative as the first. How the Banshees are able to remain vital and celebrated after almost two decades is down to their ever evolving and metamorphic spirit.

 | FRANK ZAPPA Zappa In New York (Very Rare 1977 UK first issue
11-track live double vinyl LP including Punky's Whips. Complete with
lyrics printed across the inside of the gatefold picture sleeve. This
version was very quickly withdrawn from sale. This is a wonderful
copy) See 'More Info' ...
Tracklisting: This was initially released in its full uncensored glory in late 1977, with the track "Punky's Whips" included on the sleeve credits, the label & the vinyl.
This issue was withdrawn by Warner Brothers, who considered its homoerotic reference to Angel guitarist Punky Meadows in "Punky's Whips" & "Titties And Beer" to be potentially litigious.
In March 1978 the album was officially re-released in censored form, with "Punky's Whips" deleted from the vinyl although the remainder of the original sleeves were used, so for a time you could still read the lyrics inside, even though you could not hear the track any more !
This is that rare original issue from late 1977 that is completely uncensored and still has the track "Punky's Whips" as Frank intended. Unlike the later CD release, it is also not saturated with digital reverb either, so kicks like a mule.
Condition:
The sleeve remains in wonderful condition with just a little light edge scuffing and the lightest amount of shelfwear and ringwear visible.
The vinyl is at least Excellent with minimal signs of play.
A spectacular copy of this incredibly rare Zappa release.

 | D'ANGELO Voodoo (UK/EU limited edition 13-track double
album 2-LP pressed on 180-gram black vinyl, featuring the
singles Devil's Pie, Left & Right with Method Man and Redman,
Send It On, Feel Like Makin' Love plus the attention-grabbing
hit Untitled [How Does It Feel]. Single pocket picture sleeve,
factory sealed) #Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time
Tracklisting: 'Voodoo' is the second studio album from neo-soul singer/songwriter D'Angelo and debuted at number one in the US Billboard 200. It includes the hit single 'Untitled (How Does It Feel)'.
"Halfway through the languid midtempo ballad "Send It On" from D'Angelo's new sophomore effort, Voodoo, the young retro-soul maestro and band shift tempo and melody. It's a move so understatedly dramatic that it elicits comparisons not just to obvious touchstones Marvin Gaye and Al Green, but to the Jimi Hendrix of Axis: Bold as Love and Electric Ladyland.
"Although Voodoo is hardly in a league with such major statements, it's a record inviting enough to attract repeated plays of its 78-minute length. As on his 1995 debut, Brown Sugar, D'Angelo covers a wide range of concerns — sex, home cooking, the destructive side of current street life — in a deceptively offhand manner. But he's a crafty craftsman: even a throwaway workout like 'Chicken Grease' is blessed not only with a slinky groove and a guitar lick that deserves to be called just that, but bursts of Gaye-style vocal harmonies; the whole track, for all its retro flavor, ends up sounding like nothing else around.
"Throw in the blasts of anger that fire 'Devil's Pie,' the restatement of Bono's 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' in 'Greatdayindamornin',' and the complete takeover of Roberta Flack's 'Feel Like Makin' Love,' and Voodoo proves one jam that was well worth the nearly five-year wait." — Amazon.com
