A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...
 | VIVIAN STANSHALL Men Opening Umbrellas Ahead (Scarce original
1974 UK 10-track vinyl LP, the solo debut by the legendary 'ginger
geezer', which sold so poorly it was swiftly deleted by Warner Bros
soon after release, remaining unavailable in anycommercial form for
over thirty-five years. This is perhaps because it was Stanshall's
answer to Beefheart, a madcap but inspired affair with moments of
genius & flourishes of Afrobeat, with guests Gaspar Lawal, Reebop
Kwaku Baah, an unidentified West Indian taxi driver[!] and soul singers
Barry St. John, Doris Troy & Madeline Bell. In an ideal world it would
have charted! The embossed picture sleeve shows just light shelfwear
with some minor discolouration in places but comes complete with the
lyric inner and the vinyl remains near 'as new' with few signs of play - A
gem that surfaces so rarely on vinyl! K56052)

comprehensive list of their shows in the eight years prior, their
Albums / Singles discography and more, with a background print
of faint yellow 'S' [for Squeeze] plus facsimile autographes. This
copy also comes complete with its merchandise insert still
attached. This example has just a little light wear and signsof
age, otherwise a really nice example) |

 | LED ZEPPELIN Houses Of The Holy (2000 US limited edition
remastered issue of the classic 1973 8-track LP, pressed on
180gm Audiophile Vinyl, the first issue from Classic
Records' now legendary series of releases, remastered at Bernie
Grundman Masteringand pressed by RTI in Camarillo, California.
These initial pressings are often regarded as sounding better
than the later 200gm versions, but that's for your ears to
determine. The gatefold picture sleeve is an exact high
qualityreproductionof the original complete with title belly-band.
This astonishing copy remains FACTORY SEALED from
new in its clear, oversize poly bag with fully intact perforations
along the left hand edge and central beather hole front & rear. A
rare chance to own this increasingly hard-to-find edition, just as
it was issued some twenty-one years ago! SD7255) |
