A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...
| PAUL WELLER Stanley Road (2017 UK/EU limited edition
12-track LP pressed on 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl,
Weller's classic 1995 album including The Changingman, You
Do Something To Me and a cover of I Walk On Gilded Splinters,
guest starring Noel Gallagher, Steve Winwood, Steve Cradock
& Steve White. Single pocket gatefold picture sleeve with
cover artwork designed by Sir Peter Blake, factory sealed.
Recommended)
Tracklisting: Weller’s landmark, multi-platinum selling No. 1 album which stayed 87 weeks in the chart. It spawned the classic hits "The Changing Man", "You Do Something To Me" and "Broken Stones". Stanley Road is the third album by Paul Weller originally released by Go! Discs in 1995.
The album's cover collage was created by the artist Peter Blake, designer of the Beatles' Sgt Pepper's album artwork. Weller claimed on a BBC special that he hopes he can one day create an album as perfect as this one, stating that all the stars were aligned during the writing and recording period of Stanley Road.
The album had several notable contributors such as Noel Gallagher of Oasis, who appears playing acoustic guitar on the Dr. John cover "I Walk On Gilded Splinters", Steve Winwood (formerly of the Spencer Davis Group amongst others) performs on the songs "Woodcutters Son" and "Pink On White Walls", whilst Weller is also joined by long-time collaborators Steve Craddock (co-founder of Ocean Colour Scene) and Steve White (the Style Council and brother of Alan White the former Oasis stick man).

Tracklisting: Three years removed from crafting Dire Straits' third album, Making Movies, band leader Mark Knopfler elected to adhere to the record's title and try his hand at doing just that in an aural way. Written and performed to accompany the film Local Hero, the iconic guitarist's first soundtrack continues to serve as one of the decade's most prized scores. No wonder the BAFTA Award-nominated work has long eclipsed the Bill Forsyth film in stature, merit, and popularity — and emerged as the basis of a stage musical that debuted in Scotland in 2019.

| DAVID BOWIE The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust (Very rare
& highly sought after 1972 first UK pressing 11-track vinyl LP,
with 'Titanic/Chrysalis' credit on the labels & the all important
1E/1E matrix numbers indicating a true first issue,
matt picture sleeve with illustrated lyric inner. This original
pre-dates the Mainman contract & as such has no reference to
Mainman anywhere on the sleeve or record label
SF8287) See 'More Info' for full details on the
background &condition of this rarity... #Top 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time
Tracklisting: Every track on Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars sounds like it was pulled from the rock 'n' roll bible. The album created a mythology that reached beyond the Chuck Berry folklorisms of the everyday rocker to create a new type of rockstar.
With Ziggy, Bowie created a viable alter-ego to descend onto the planet & wreak havoc on rock's fertile soil & in doing so, he created the most original rock creation since the music's inception 20 years before.
Musically, the album was as inspired as Ziggy's persona. Mick Ronson's snarling guitar evoked the triumphant power of the late '60s guitar heroes, but added a flash so dynamic fans knew why the Spiders were labelled 'glitter rockers'.
History & Condition
This first issue pre-dates the Mainman contract & as such there are NO Mainman references or logos anywhere on the sleeve or record label. There is a logo on the rear of the sleeve with the text 'A Gem Production'
The matrix numbers in the run out groove are:
BGBS 0864 -1E & BGBS 0865-1E
The black & white lyric inner has a seam split in the bottom edge, some notable discolouring and creasing.
The picture sleeve has some notable ringwear and edgewear giving it a G grading.
The label is the original thick orange glossy Victor variant & is free from writing or tears, whilst the vinyl itself is the thick & strong pressing, unlike many later pressings which used Dynaflex flexi vinyl. The vinyl [VG] has a few small hairlines and a few general scuff marks, but these cause just a little background noise and the occasional pop, but plays through with no skips.
A very respectable example & a genuine first pressing that is becoming increasingly hard to find.
Tracklisting :-
1. Five Years
2. Soul Love
3. Moonage Daydream
4. Starman
5. It Ain't Easy
6. Lady Stardust
7. Star
