KARAJAN Puccini: Madama Butterfly (A landmark opera
recording - newly remastered using 24bit 192kHz transfers of
the original master tapes and presented in a deluxe edition to
commemorate 100 years since Puccini's death. Performed in
January 1974 at Vienna's Sofiensäle, this recording features
the finest ensemble of the era, led by Mirella Freni
and Luciano Pavarotti, conducted by Herbert von
Karajan, and it remains one of the most revered in the
operatic canon. Now, as part of Decca's centenary tribute to
Giacomo Puccini, this legendary performance is
issued on vinyl for the first time in over four decades -
remastered from the original 1975 tapes and pressed on
180-gram audiophile vinyl, cut at Abbey Road Studios. This

cloth-wrapped rigid slipcase with gold-block titles and a

essays, facsimiles, rare photos, and the complete libretto in
