THE JAM Growing Up with... The Jam (2015 UK limited edition 184 page softback coffee table book by Nicky Weller, Gary Crowley, Russell Reader & Den Davis, packed from cover to cover with celebrity memories paying tribute to the band that inspiredan entire generation. The book is within a custom 'The Jam 40 Years' red & white stripe pull string bag, and housed in a silver printed 'The Jam 40 Years' heavy duty card box with a limited litho print inside. This example remains in a fantastic 'near as new' condition)

Tracklisting: A host of household names from the world of music, film and media have penned fitting tributes to the band. From stars of the sixties who influenced the band, Ray Davies and Pete Townshend to the bands competing for chart success, Adam Ant, Sir Bob Geldof, Mick Jones and Jools Holland. The stars The Jam inspired: Noel Gallagher, Kelly Jones and Sharleen Spiteri, to actors and media personalities including Martin Freeman, Max Beesley and many more. With a foreword from all three members of the band, heart-warming personal recollections, spine tingling accolades and unseen photos, this really is a must read for any music fan.
THE BEATLES Let It Be (1969 Japanese 12-track stereo LP on black vinyl with Apple labels manufactured by Toshiba, originally part of a box set, housed in a non-gatefold picture sleeve with red Apple logo on the back & English lyric insert. The sleeve displays some minor wear mostly to the edges & corners, whilst the vinyl still looks barely touched or played AP-9009)

Tracklisting: 1. Two Of Us 2. Dig A Pony 3. Across The Universe 4. I Me Mine 5. Dig It 6. Let It Be 7. Maggie Mae 8. I've Got A Feeling 9. One After 909 10. The Long And Winding Road 11. For You Blue 12. Get Back
HANK MOBLEY Soul Station (Incredibly rare 1960 original US 6-track deep groove mono LP on the 'West 63rd - NYC' address label, with flat edge & 'RVG' stampers & 'ear' markings in the run-outs, featuring Hank as the star of the show on tenor sax, backed with great assurance & authority by Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers & Art Blakey, pasted picture sleeve with 'West 61st' address on the back & original company catalogue inner. Please see 'more info' for condition details... BLP4031)

Tracklisting: Tracklisting :- Remember This I Dig Of You Dig Dis Split Feelin's Soul Station If I Should Lose You Personnel :- Hank Mobley - Tenor Sax Wynton Kelly - Piano Paul Chambers - Bass Art Blakey - Drums Condition :- The Sleeve Obtained from a one previous owner collection, with all records bought from new at the time, the heavyweight pasted laminate sleeve is in beautiful shape. Clean, with rich, vivid colours & all text clearly legible, there is just chipping to the laminate at the top seam, although it barely affects the front or back panels. There is moderate foxing to the unlaminated reverse and the original price has been pencilled on. The sleeve is simply stunning, & complete with the correct [seam split] period company catalogue inner. It also retains a nice, period UK tax code sticker & even the Mecolico royalty sticker for author's rights, which were affixed during export from the US. Very, very nice indeed! The Labels This beautiful first issue copy was pressed just after "Blue Note Records" became an incorporated company & a registered trademark, hence the inclusion of 'INC' & 'R' lettering on the labels. These are the original 'Deep Groove' versions of the West 63rd Address label, twice as rare as the regular version, which is hard enough to find anyway! Both sides are clean & free from writing, stickers, excessive wear or any other blemishes that would affect the print. There is just a little light spindle wear to indicate play but nothing of any real consequence. The Vinyl The Rudy Van Gelder initials 'RVG' & the 'ear' logo are stamped and etched into the runoff area. The matrices, like the 'ear' are hand scratched. A combination of Van Gelder's sound engineering & Plastylite pressing is well & truly the 'golden age' of highest quality, Blue Note pressings. We really should be putting these in our audiophile store! The vinyl has been professionally cleaned on a Matrix machine and has come up looking sparkling. Under a bright light, there are just a few faint paper scuffs to indicate some play & enjoyment in the past. Upon play testing both sides, we can confirm this one truly does sound remarkable. There is just the lightest surface ambience in places but this is so minor & of no real consequence. If we had to grade this marvellous copy then a conservative EX- would be it, but it plays & looks so much better than that. We give this our highest recommendation. We are pleased to offer this beautiful, clean, archive copy for sale. An alltime classic 'soul jazz' release.
