Volumes 1 & 2 (Circa 1962-63 US issues of the 1956 mono 2-LP
set with 'West 63rd' label address across all four sides, plus
'RVG' machine stamps & 'ear' etchings in all four run-outs. There
is also a 'deep groove' on all four label sides as well as the 'r'
registered logo at the bottom of 'Note'. This fantastic live set was
recorded on November 23, 1955 with the great Kenny Dorham,
Hank Mobley, Horace Silver & Doug Watkins. Both parts are

reinforced spines. The vinyl on both disks shows a few light scuffs &
the odd hairline but remain in VG/VG+ condition & play through without
fault. Both sleeves show little in the way of shelfwear with just a little
age yellowing to the back slick to show for their fifty years. A superb
pair of original early stereo releases in very acceptable condition

behind the kit! Comes housed in the original heavy duty pasted
laminate picture sleeve. The catalogue inner is enclosed, with
some small edge splits due to the thin paper. The picture sleeve
[VG+] has nice clean laminate with the UK import tax stickers
attached to the rear. The edges remain crisp & sharp with all
print clearly legible including the spine [tiny thumbnail split in top
edge]. There is a faint corner bow in the top left corner & the
back slick reveals some mild age wear & a few scuff marks. The
heavyweight vinyl is a clean first pressing & sounds glorious,
playing to an Excellent standard indeed. On close inspection,
there are just a couple of very minor cosmetic paper scuffs not
affecting play. Recommended BLP4104)
