previously unreleased 1965 performance from jazz piano legend
Horace Silver and his quintet. Recorded over two nights at
the famed Seattle venue, the session features a powerhouse lineup -
including Woody Shaw on trumpet and Joe
Henderson on tenor saxophone - delivering spirited renditions of
"Song For My Father," "The Cape Verdean Blues," and Henderson's
"The Kicker." Produced for Blue Note by Zev Feldman, this essential
archival release captures Silver and his ensemble at the height of
their creative powers. Housed in a deluxe gatefold picture sleeve,
featuring liner notes from jazz scholar Bob Blumenthal.
