UK Rough Trade 7" vinyl single with intact four prong centre,
also including How Soon Is Now. The song is popularly believed
to have been written by Morrissey about his friend Billy
Mackenzie, lead singer of The Associates, with whom he was
rumoured to be romantically linked. Housed in a mauve tinted
picture sleeve featuring Billie Whitelaw as Lottie from the 1968
movie 'Charlie Bubbles', directed by Albert Finney. This issuehas
now become increasingly hard to find and is much rarer than the
original issue. Apart from some light wear, the sleeve remains in
a really nice condition and the vinyl looks barely played RT166)

10" metal-based lacquer reference test pressing acetates for the 2008
Rhino UK limited edition 7" single release [originally RT166]. Cut into
10" discs, one acetate features both A & B sides [including Please Let
Me Get What I Wanted] and the other acetate features the B side only.
Each of the acetates has the handwritten matrix number in the centre
of the disc. They are housed in a 12" 'Heathmans Mastering' card
sleevewith custom studio labels on the front printed with the title, record company and pressing date of '21/9/2008'. One of the ultimate gems of any Smiths collection)

reverse sleeve with colour, registration and proofing bars. The front
sleeve is the Mauve tinted picture sleeve featuring Billie Whitelaw as
Lottie from the 1968 movie 'Charlie Bubbles, measuring 20" x 14" this
is a great piece of artwork that would look stunning framed. With most
pieces destroyed it is likely that this is one of only a smallhandful left in existence - Fab!!)

Measuring 13" x 6" this is a great piece of artwork thatwould look

Rough Trade hand set preliminary artwork design concept for
the 12" vinyl single. Incredible [and early] example of Smiths
artwork, the keen eyed might spot that the 'The Smiths' band
name text was amended slightly on the official release, making
this just that extra bit special [as if 100% genuine original Rough
Trade/Jo Slee Smiths artwork wasn't special enough!].
Presented on high quality line board with hand annotated tracing
paper overlay and frontleaf, colour bar charts and measuring a
huge 30" x 20½"! This incredibly rare item is in superb condition
and is just begging to take pride of place in your Smiths
collection!)
