SOFT MACHINE 5 - Fifth (Rare 1972 Dutch 7-track LP, housed
in the all-black UK embossed title sleeve. By this point Robert
Wyatt had left to form Matching Mole, and freeform jazz
drummer Phil Howard was drafted in as replacement, doing a
mighty finejob of it too. The sleeve has a little light edge and
shelfwear and minor creasing, whilst the vinyl has just a few
spindle marks and minimal signs of play - an excellent
example)

this is the band's third studio release, and marks their
greatest shift in genre, moving away from psychedelia
towards jazz-fusion, but with a distinct Canterbury flavour.
The gatefold picture sleeve displays a small spot of paper
loss to the front panel and some general scuffing to the edges
with only light wear otherwise and the however the vinyl discs
show few signsof play, overall an Excellent example)

front laminated flipback picture sleeve. The sleeve displays some
light wear a few spots of paper loss on the flipbacks wherethe
laminate has not covered, and light crease in the top left corner
in the spine. The labels have only a couple of marks around the
spindle hole, whilst the vinyl remains very clean with little signs
