The pasted picture sleeve has been reinforced in the past with heavy duty tape around the closed edges, standard procedure for fifties US sleeve jackets to avoid nasty seam splits. This has been done very tastefully & in matching red, not obscuring the fantastic David Stone Martin artwork & with all text clearly legible including along the spine.
