DR STRANGELY STRANGE Kip Of The Serenes (Super Rare 1969 Australian 10-track stereo LP on Calendar Records, manufactured & distributed by Festival Records & licensed by Island, the debut album by the Irish experimental hippie folk group produced by Joe Boyd. The same stampers were used from the first Island UK pressing, with the run-outs here machine stamped 'ILPS 9106 A/1 / ILPS 9106 B/1'. Comes housed in a front laminated picture sleeve with a unique 'script' back cover featuring album notes as opposed to artwork. The cover shows some faint creasing from handling at the opening & just a spot of light ring wear. The colours on the front are still strong & rich & the print on the back remains strikingly vivid. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned on a top of the line Matrix machine, & on close inspection, a few wispy hairlines are visible, which have no effect on playback. DR STRANGELY STRANGE Kip Of The Serenes (Super rare original 1969 10-track stereo LP on the pink Island 'eye' logo label with A1/B1 matrices, housed in a matt picture sleeve with striking seafaring image on the reverse. The sleeve displays some minor general wear mostly to the edges and corners. There is a small spot of paper loss on the front where it looks like a price sticker has been removed. Both labels remain very clean with light marks around the spindle hole, whilst the vinyl is extremely clean with minimal signs of play.
