THE BEATLES Rubber Soul (Rare 1965 UK first press 14-track mono vinyl LP on the black & yellow Parlophone label, with 'The Gramophone Co.' & 'Sold In The UK' text. This unusual copy weighs in at 110g, rather than the much heavier pressings that were standard at the time; possibly due to a manufacturing issue or a deliberate experiment in thinner pressings. Housed in the rare Ernest J. Day front laminated flipback picture sleeve variant.The matrices both end -1, indicating that this isthe earliest & hard to find LOUD CUT variant PMC1267)

Condition:
The Ernest J. Day sleeve shows a little light edgewear. There are a few light marks of discolouration with a small corner crease leaving it Very Good.

The vinyl remains in fantastic VG condition with faint surface scuffs and light hairlines visible with some annotation sticker stuck to the labels. Usually, this records pressed with deep grooves & on heavyweight '60s vinyl, these blemishes are mostly cosmetic in nature. This unique version has been pressed on 110gram vinyl whilst still being pressed at the standard weight at the time, a unique and wonderful item.

All in all an extremely respectable, very playable, copy of this desirable first UK 'Loud Cut' pressing at a seriously advantageous price!
