THE GROUNDHOGS Scratching The Surface (1969 US 9-track vinyl LP back pasted textured heavy card picture sleeve. Their raw, rootsy debut album ranks among the finest albums to emerge from the British blues-rock boom, matching frontman Tony McPhee's memorable original tunes with a blistering reworking of the Muddy Waters classic 'Still A Fool'. The album features the Groundhogs’ original recording lineup of McPhee, bassist Peter Cruickshank, drummer Ken Pustelnik and harmonica player Steve Rye. The sleeve shows minimal shelfwear with some light ring markings whilst the vinyl displays very little signs of play WPS-21892)
