DR JOHN AND THE LOWER 911 Tribal (2010 UK & European limited edition 16-track double vinyl LP - Replete with swamp rock, funk, Creole voodoo, and Mardi Gras Indian chants, 'Tribal' resurrects the magical persona of 'The Night Tripper' in his full regalia. As always, Dr. John has a little help from his friends: alongside his band The Lower 911, NOLA legend Allen Toussaint contributes two songs while three songs were co-written with the late, great Bobby Charles, a Louisiana legend himself, to whom Dr. John dedicates the album. The two vinyl discs display just light paper scuffs but look barely played housed in the single-pocket picture sleeve which shows light wear but retains its opened original shrinkwrap FTN17801)
